IFX Deploys Aperto Networks Broadband Wireless Solutions in Colombia and Argentina

Expects to Support Aperto Networks WiMAX Rollouts in Coming Months  

Bogota, Colombia, (October 26, 2005) – Aperto Networks, a leading WiMAX systems provider serving over 200 operators in 65 countries, announced today that IFX Networks, the leading provider of network connectivity to corporate customers in Latin America, is deploying Aperto Networks PacketWave® broadband wireless solutions in Buenos Aires, Argentina and in several major cities in Colombia, including Bogotá, Cali, Medellin, and Bucaramanga.  

Initially, IFX expects to use Aperto Network’ gear to market IP, MPLS, VPN, and VOIP services to small and medium sized businesses and corporate customers. Later, they expect to serve consumer and residential markets.
