RF Systems Test Development Engineer
Location: Milpitas, CA, USA
Dept/Division: Engineering Full Time
Hands-on Test and Development engineering with experience in High Frequency radio design in a Mixed-Signal architecture. This person will be responsible for designing and testing radio hardware to support overall IEEE 802.16 (WiMAX) standards and sustaining support for both Fixed and Mobile applications.
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience in TDD/HFDD radios with mixed signal Up and Down conversion architectures.
- System level familiarity with QAM and OFDM modulations and knowledge of IEEE 802.16 protocols is desirable.
- Familiarity with EDA tools such as View Logic Schematic Capture and Cadence layout tools a plus.
- The individual in this role should be willing to primarily support the Radio-Hardware Development Group in TEST and DESIGN verifications.
- This individual will have to "father" the existing designs and support any production issues that emanate from manufacturing test operations.
- Candidate should be able to qualify new and end of life for existing designs through design verification.
- Candidate should be proficient in View Logic and be able to maintain the database.
- Familiarity with digital and analog test equipment including BER/CNR test sets, spectrum analyzers, and VSA's in the evaluation of conversion architectures and components. (Critical need)
