Corporate SE (Systems Engineering) Support Engineer

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology
  • CCNA/CCNP or similar networking qualifications a plus

Job Requirements

  • Provide excellent Pre-Sales Technical Support for Global Customers and SE Team members in the field
  • Remotely troubleshoot and resolve customer issues
  • Travel to customer sites to diagnose, resolve and troubleshoot issues
  • Recreate customer test plans and networks for troubleshooting purposes
  • Create Application Notes that will assist customers in understanding a feature
  • Educate and customers on the Aperto product and new features
  • Self-study to remain up to date with current products, features, issues and documentation
  • Work on responses to technical proposals (RFI, RFQ etc) as required

Other Essentials

  • Strong Experience with Networking technologies and products. This includes technologies such as TCP/IP, Ethernet, Bridging, Routing, Switching, VPN, QoS, VLAN, Firewall, Packet Filtering.
  • Experience with 802.16d and 802.16e WiMAX and other wireless products such as 802.11 WiFi, Point-to-Point, LMDS
  • Experience with Aperto PacketMax or PacketWave Products a plus
  • Experience with Network Management Systems (NMS) or Element Management Systems (EMS)
  • Experience with VoIP protocols and VoIP devices and servers
  • Windows XP, 2000, 2003 Server Experience
  • Prior experience in a Systems Engineering or Customer focused role
  • Strong Written & Verbal Communication Skills
  • MS Office experience in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Ability to travel within the US and International locations
