Baseband and IF Engineer
Location: Milpitas, California, USA
Hands-on development engineer with experience in mixed signal and
digital and analog baseband and IF board design . Experience with
mixed signal digital upconversion and downconversion architectures
and implementations including interpolation, decimation, and NCOs.
Able to develop and test board level modem devices and mixed signal
conversion circuitry for interface between radio unit and digital
baseband processor. System level familiarity with QAM and OFDM modulations
required and knowledge of 802.16 protocols desirable.
Familiarity with EDA tools such as Innoveda schematic
capture and Elanix System View ,AWR Virtual System Simulator, or
Matlab system analysis tools a strong plus. Candidate should also
be able to design analog and digital filters using these tools.
Ability to gather and analyze system performance and prototype test
data during implementation will be critical.
Ability to work with development engineers in
hardware , RF, and software development areas to implement an overall
product design. Ability to work with minimum of supervision a must.
Familiarity with digital and analog test
equipment including BER/CNR test sets, multipath emulators, DSOs,
and spectrum analyzers used in bench testing and evaluation of conversion
architectures and components very important. Engineer will be responsible
for developing prototype hardware to support overall 802.16 product
and software development.
