Job Description
Will perform systems engineering and customer support functions as they relate
to the deployment of Aperto Network's fixed broadband wireless access networks.
As part of the Customer Support department, this position will provide assistance
to customers in resolving RF related issues. He/she will also travel and assist
in the deployment of our wireless solutions world-wide as well as coordinate
and/or conduct field trials and customer demonstrations. Responsible for creating
RF network planning guidelines, and preparing link budgets and propagation modeling
of our cell-based systems.
Required
Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of RF network planning and deployment
experience in fixed broadband wireless or related field. Must have extensive
working knowledge of RF network planning and modeling tools, and good understanding
of propagation theory and interference/multipath issues in cellular deployments.
Must have worked in a Customer Support position before. Should be familiar with
RF test equipment relevant to the field of expertise. Must be customer oriented
with experience working directly with customers. Knowledge of digital communications,
radio systems, and digital modulation techniques is required. Knowledge of IP
networking is a plus. BSEE, MSEE preferred.
