Job Description
Conduct system level tests, including UI/GUI testing, functional testing and performance measurements in networking oriented environment.
Develop test strategies based on product requirements and specifications. Plan, generate and implement manual and automated/scripted test cases based on the adopted test strategies.
Document test procedures, test configurations and test topologies. Implement automated or manual test scripts.
Design and implement test topologies, configure both hardware and software configurations of test systems and equipment.
Execute test plans and compile test results, including test progress reports, and fault reports.
Identify product issues, systematically isolate relevant factors, and troubleshoot source of anomalies.
Conduct acceptance, functional, and regression tests during test cycles.
Communicate with and provide support to other disciplines involved in the project, including Marketing, Engineering, and Manufacturing.

Required Skills/Experience
Min. 7 years experience in LAN/WAN networking system, wireless communication system, or telecommunications hardware subsystem testing.
Self-motivation and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Experience in system level or protocol level testing and troubleshooting. Familiarity with networking infrastructure, equipment and architecture. In-depth knowledge in wireless subsystem architecture and test methodologies.
Proven track record in designing, coding and implementing automated test procedures.
Strong knowledge in the following networking protocols/technologies is required: TCP/IP, Ethernet, SNMP, RIP, OSPF, EGRP, HTTP, L2TP, PPP/PPPoE, and MPLS.
Strong knowledge in at least one of the following technologies: Ethernet, VoIP, ATM, SONET, DS1/DS3, VLAN (802.1Q), QoS/DiffServ, Layer 2 and Layer 3 equipment testing, switches and routers configuration, bridging and routing.
Strong analytical skills and ability in troubleshooting and isolating fault conditions.
Strong communication skills required.
Familiarity with test methodologies and strategies throughout Product Development Life Cycle.
Working knowledge in MMDS/LMDS wireless equipment setup and installation.

Desired/Preferred Skills
Strong knowledge in test automation tools including SmartBit, IXIA, Visual BASIC, tcl/tk, Perl, Windows NT/2000 scripting or UNIX shell scripting.
Solid knowledge in router and switch configuration/setup preferred.
Experience with protocol analyzer such as Sniffer or similar tools.
BCS or equivalent preferred.
