Sr. Network Protocols Engineer

| Responsibilities |
- Provide technical leadership on WiMAX system design, architecture and specifications development with focus on end-to-end network architecture
- Work with cross functional teams and product line management to define and document design and development requirements for current and next generation WiMAX systems
- Develop system requirements and specifications for layer 2 and layer 3 network architecture, including embedded SNMP support and QoS related protocols such as DSCP.
- Research, analyze and validate through simulation new technologies and algorithms that optimize access service network performance and scalability

| Requirements |
- Experience with embedded SNMP development is required
- Thorough knowledge of TCP/IP and related protocol suite required
- Knowledge of GUI based configuration highly desirable
- Thorough knowledge of real-time embedded operating systems is preferred
- Knowledge of Layer 2 (Bridging, VLAN) and Layer 3 networking protocols
- Superior written and verbal communication skills; must be capable of documenting and communicating system design and specifications
- Self-motivated, team player with the ability to work in fast-paced, start-up environment
- BS in Engineering required (MS preferred)
