Product/Project Manager, Broadband Access Systems

Job Description
This key role in the Product Management organization will initially be focused on owning, supporting, and sustaining the product life cycle of select broadband access system products as well as contributing to all aspects of product management/marketing including collateral and white paper development, new product release, certification initiatives, field interaction, sales training, trade show participation, management of demos, etc. The role will also involve managing the release of products to key OEM partners. This person will interact daily with the rest of marketing, sales, development, systems engineering, operations, and customer service.
 
Assume Product Management responsibility for select established product lines with an initial focus on management and sustaining existing pre-WiMAX product lines. Will assume product life cycle responsibility for additional product lines including WiMAX as required. Ownership of selected critical product initiatives, product-related projects, and product demo program as well as prepare and maintain product focused marketing materials. Will also manage new product releases to OEM partners. A true, Jack or Jane-of-all-trades with the skills and flexibility to assume, own, and fulfill a wide variety of responsibilities and roles as they relate to Product Management. Work with cross-functional teams to resolve product and customer issues.
 
Required Skills/Experience
5+ years experience in product marketing or product management in the wireless or Ethernet networking industries. Demonstrated success working with development, sales, customers, and marketing teams to define market opportunities and roll-out of new products and technologies. Strong business judgment and technical understanding. Must be effective in engaging internal Engineering teams and/or customers in technical discussions, technical problem resolution, feature prioritizations, etc. Proven ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously. A team player with tremendous energy, customer focus, and enthusiasm for fast-paced dynamic work environments. Excellent analytical, writing, communication and presentation skills. Outstanding time management, organizational skills, clear thinking, and effective program management skills. BS degree in a science or engineering discipline or related experience, preferably computer sciences or electrical engineering. MBA desirable.
