Position: Senior Hardware Design Engineer

Job Description
In this position, you will join a team that designs the digital system hardware for leading edge Broadband Network Access products using new wireless communication technologies. You will be responsible for technology/components selection, design, schematic capture, prototype debug and design refinement, performance measurement and system validation, test strategy definition and transition product into production. Able to work with and support team members in external groups (i.e. Software, Test Engineering, Regulatory Approvals, etc.).

Required Skills/Experience
• BS in Electrical Engineering with 3 to 5+ years of design experience.
• Excellent understanding of digital design methodology, signal integrity, layout and board level implementation considerations and an understanding of their impact on second order effects (cross talk, EMI, etc.).
Knowledge of FPGA/CPLD as well as microprocessor design.
• Familiarity with Verilog, Synopsys a plus.
Knowledge of ViewLogic schematic capture tool a plus.
• Knowledge of PCI bus a plus.
• Experience with SONET-based systems at OC-3 or above is desirable.
