Job Description
In this position, you will lead/manage a team that validates highly integrated ASIC/ SOC devices for leading edge Broadband Network Access products in a simulation environment. You will establish and maintain an efficient, automated, reusable, cost-effective
and state-of-the-art system-level verification environment. Responsibilities include design of new system verification architectures and implementation including: self-monitoring test benches, creation of a random and pseudo-random stimulus generators/checkers.
Other activities include verification methodology development related to the system level verification tools (i.e. proprietary C based, Vera, Specman) spanning system level functional, pseudo-random and exhaustive test development stimulus, design validation
and debug, static verification methodologies, and qualitative measurement of test effectiveness.
From a management perspective you will: Take ownership for all assigned tasks and drive them to completion successfully. Exercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment. Interface cross-functionally and develop a sense of customer orientation. Provide technical guidance to small teams. Mentor junior team members.
Required Skills/Experience
BSEE/MSEE or MSCS and 10+ years of experience in system-level ASIC verification
Minimum 4 years of management experience in verification or ASIC design with embedded RISC/ DSP blocks for telecommunications, networking, or wireless products
Hands-on and silicon-proven experience in building the efficient verification environment, flow, and tool set
Proficiency in C and expert-level knowledge of Vera, Specman, or similar tools
Clear understanding of challenges, issues, requirements, pitfalls and solutions in system-level verification
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with technical peers and leadership skills in setting verification strategies and resolving technical issues on time and within budgetary guideline
Familiarity with various MAC protocols (i.e. 802.3, DOCSIS, 802.11)
Knowledge of digital filtering, coding, equalization, modulation techniques a big plus
