| Peak Rate Shaping is carried out on a per Virtual SU basis, by means of a Leaky Bucket based Traffic Shaping Algorithm. Packets waiting in the Transmit Queue are allowed to access the link only if there are a sufficient number of tokens available in the Leaky Bucket regulator. The Leaky Bucket itself is filled at a constant rate, which equals the Peak Rate that has been configured for that flow, thus restricting the outgoing packet traffic to that rate. |
