Sr. Protocol Software Engineer

Job Description

Develop network protocols for our wireless broadband network products. Participate in all and lead in some phases of software development cycles. Collaborate with systems hardware to define product specifications. Help architect next generation networking technology. Provide technical leadership in instituting development tools infrastructure and methodology for the software engineering group.

Required Skills/Experience

5-7 years direct experience in network protocol development for network routing or switching products.
Must have a demonstrated expertise with protocols such as TCP, IP, ARP, DHCP, IGMP, RIP and OSPF. Must have direct experiences with ‘C’, ‘C++’, and programming languages. A working knowledge of software/hardware partitioning is expected. VxWorks experience is a plus.
Team player, strong written and oral communications skills, highly motivated to work in a fast-paced start-up environment. BSCS required. MSCS desirable.
